Welcome to Sordid Secrets!

Common beasts are seen frequently and may be wandering in herds or family groups across wolf territories. Many of them can be common prey options for the packs. Please do pay attention, that the normal prey animals can also be found in the game. There are elks, deer, reindeer, moose and such, bunnies and rabbits and normal birds. The animals listed in here are animals that do not exist in the real life. Your character may even find a shark in the sea.
These are all tamable with the option of bestiary taming-item in the shop.

Leechie Snails
Giant migratory snails that often take shelter in swamps, marshes, or decaying environments. This creatures diet consists of blood from unsuspecting victims that cross their paths beneath the water or undergrowth. Unlike a common leech, these creatures consume a share of blood that could bleed an adult wolf dry. Once a leechie has attached itself to its prey, only salty minerals can properly release it. When a leechie is full of a wolf or other magical creature's blood they use only half of it to sustain themselves - the rest is carried back to the mushroom forest and secreted in their slime. The slime helps preserve the mushrooms and even gives them their daunting size.

Holding a kinship with the common jackal, the kaliki also has its vast array of differences. The sharp, slender face of the kaliki is replaced with a bone mask that is said to be a mutation of their skull. This mask hides many of the kaliki’s facial features; save for the eyes, which are dark, hallow pits where eyes would be. This mask ends just above the kaliki’s brow and branches off into small, minute horns. Each fall, the females horns fall off and will re-grow during the spring and will be larger than they were the year before. The most interesting aspect of the kaliki, (aside from their trickster nature) is that at the point of their horns is a glowing crystal that gives them energy. The crystals absorb energy from the sun, providing them with enough energy that it never has to sleep, however, they still need food in order to sustain themselves completely. They are strictly carnivorous. Pelt color varies, but retains realistic jackal patterns; usually buff-grey with a darker back and a light underside.

They blend in very easily to most grasses, but those who live higher up in the mountains have turned white. They are very quick and agile creatures. Their small tusks are unbreakable, almost comparable to diamonds in hardness.

Its fur is commonly a deep brown, though it ranges from black, tans, and grays. This small creatures paws glow a bright white, and often leave small glowing paw prints. The tracks easily tell messages for others of their kind. Another Layric simply has to place their own paw over the paw print to pick up messages left behind.

Goat-like creatures that have small horns and long, thick, white fur. Where their 'hooves' would be, they instead have claws, which help them scale the mountain. They have fangs instead of flat, worn teeth as they are also carnivores.

Moose-like creatures that are pure white in color and look like moose/deer hybrids. They have large horns that curve backwards instead of antlers.

Much like a giant crab, they live very close to the shores and large waterways. They are carnivorous and will devour a wolf if it gets too close.

Rare beasts are tameable, but seeing one is not likely to happen. They are rarely ever seen as soul shadows and more commonly heard of in legends and stories. Some beasts may be summoned but only Shamans hold such an ability. Rare beasts are commonly imbued with a different kind of magic, making them harder to hunt than regular beasts of the land.

A incredibly beautiful and stunning fox-like creature. Named for their number of tails, they can in fact have more or less tails, depending on their age and level of magic skill. They have endless color possibilities. Ninetails are only females. When their reproduction cycle starts, they start to form packs. On the first full moon, they will huddle close and fall into a deep sleep. A white orb surrounds them, and pulls the most perfect genetics from each female. They will stay in this state until the next full moon, and then each female will give birth to one or two kits. This is how their race remains as pure and beautiful. The only way to tame one, is to steal a new born kit and raise it yourself. Their powers tend to focus on the four elements, as well as mental abilities like telepathy. They are known for being very swift as well, and can flee a pursuer within the blink of an eye once they reach adulthood.

The combination of a horse and an eagle. They are known for their fierce and wild nature. Being a predator, its not uncommon for these to make a meal out of adult wolves. Will O' Wisp
The Will O' Wisp is possibly the rarest of beasts. They are simply a beautiful orb of light, commonly white, though the color may change depending on their mood and the moods of others around them. They are the spirit of animal that has passed away, but still lingers in the lands of Victus. This spirit could be anything, from a rabbit to horse. They are always very similar in size, not much larger than the palm of your hand. They can not be touched, though they have the ability to touch others. They are impossible to kill, and are known to carry intense psychic abilities, but rarely use them.

An ancient bird of the skies, they are said to control and maintain the weather. The bird changes depending on the weather and the seasons. Reaching the size of a small wolf, they are certainly something to fear by the wolves. If the skies are peaceful and clear, the bird remains a beautiful white, its long tail feathers near transparent. If it becomes dark or black, it will storm, electricity will spark around its body and thunder will surge from the flap of its wings. In winter, the bird becomes a beautiful blue, snow flakes falling from its wings. Legends say this ancient birds tail feathers will bring good luck and more power to those that kill the bird and adorn themselves with them. To be gifted one by the ancient bird is said so bring many blessings. Like penguins, a Caelum takes one mate for life.

Born from the gored wombs of relentless fury and agony, hell hath no limit for the wickedness of the beast of wrath and war. Dressed as the concubines of Ares, the relentless hellions are dubbed as the Grim, for they are the avatars of death decadence. Draped in the fine structures of a behemoth equine, these creatures sought gaia as their own version of hell; whom had enticed their slumbering body from the throes of countless corpses. However, these creatures do not always enjoy the lust for blood and mutilation-they only walk the earth in silence, awaiting the arrival of the reaper. Often the omen of bad luck, the Grim can be characterized by their dark pelt; most likely black or dark gray in color and a wickedly long horn grown on their forehead. The orbs of these beasts are for the most part, strikingly bright, slicing through the nocturnal nights like two small lamps guiding wary travelers to doom and gloom. The most important feature of this monster is their ten legs, six in the front and four in the back. These limbs allows for the Grim to travel much more quickly than any other creature. Another rather intriguing thing about this creature is that their tails seem to reflect those of a wolf, with some furry area around the spine. Despite it's long, cape-like length, the tail is a symbol of their age as they will grow a few inches a year. Their lifespan is longer than that of a normal horse, with some reaching 150 years of age. For the most part, Grims enjoy fruits, particularly wild strawberries and apples.

Qinu Mora
An extremely rare species found only in Kisetsumori during the winter season. The beasts are quite large, ranging from nine to fifteen feet tall and can reach up to twenty seven feet in length. They are majestic creatures, born of magic. They are considered to be creatures of luck and fortune. Legend has it that any who are fortunately enough to obtain antlers from the beast are blessed with good fortune year round, while any who are severely injured or killed by them are said to have horrible luck for the entire year. The creatures vary in opal hues with a common ivory undercoat. It has been rumored to see an occasional Qinu Mora with a black pelt, but they are considered to be extremely rare.

Jabberwots are rarely seen creatures with the head of a bird and horns coming out from the top of said head. Wolf ears poke out of the head and small feathers crown the space in between the horns. Spikes then trail down half the back long neck while a mane of smooth hair falls from behind the spikes. A marking that looks strangely like a hole is placed at the side of it’s chest while strong (and long) legs end at taloned feet. The sides have three markings decorating the ribs on each side while there are four crooked spikes on the back. Hind legs are slightly more slender than the front, but make for good running and kicking. Two more markings decorate the hind legs. It’s tail must be the best thing about it, for below three feathers with extremely sharp edges pours a plume of fluff. The entire tail is fully controllable by the creature and the three feathers perform as lethal knives… for they can be shot out at an attacker before a new one immediately grows back. The Jabberwot resides in the Red Bog and Vermillion Thicket, having a penchant for living in dangerous regions. To tame one is hard and the only way to acquire one as a soul shadow is to steal it as a newborn - but mothers are lethally protective.
