"Go find Robin," said Mordecai languidly to his shadow. The tom glared at Mordecai, frowning as best he could with a face made of bone and eyes replaced with glowing green orbs. With an audible clack of jaws, Grimalkin turned without complaint and slipped into the darkness to find the boy and bring him to the king. Meanwhile, Mordecai contented himself with contemplating just how he would approach the topic without outright giving away the most sensitive information. To lie would be his downfall but if he just omitted various details and told the rest... there would be less reason to suspect. Children Robin's age were a curious sort and the moment anything appeared amiss, they would quickly investigate. The matter had to be breached delicately in such a manner that that inquisitive nature was stifled and halted in its track. Oh, this would certainly make for an interesting conversation.
